*5/4/25: Non-GW: Change Victory Point scoring timing to both players at the end of the Battle Round. 2 victory points at the end of the round for each enemy monster destroyed and 1 victory point for each enemy non-monster destroyed. (This is to avoid any confusion about trying to wipe your own units during your own turn to deny your opponent scoring during their turn, and to avoid any confusion about “do my units need to fight in combat during your turn so I can hold back and wipe you on my turn” type situations.

Setup Emberstone Clusters – Battlefield setup

Emberstone Clusters (pg 31) – Setup D3 + 1 additional Emberstone Cluster Objectives on the map. Players alternate setting them up. If there is neutral territory, the first 2 must be in neutral territory more than 3″ from player territory. Clusters must be setup more than 6″ from battlefield edges and battleplan objectives. If it is not possible to setup additional clusters, they are not used.

Battle Twists – Start of Battle

One player rolls on the twists for the battle.

Aqshian Anger – Passive

This passive is in effect for the entire battle.

Battle Round Twist Table
  1. Player with the least VP is the Underdog. If tied:
  2. If a player took double turn (went last in previous round, then first in current round), their opponent is the underdog.
  3. If neither applies, there is no underdog. Players roll off and the winner rolls on the twist table and applies effect as though they were the underdog.
